Walking in the Forest
--by DaySounds © 2019

While walking in the forest,
Many years ago,
From the ground, sticking out,
An ugly, brown stick I saw.

"Why is it there?
Who knows...
One of the many mistakes,
While designing the Earth,
God must have made,"
I thought.

Next to it,
Beautiful bluish-purple,
And yellow flowers grew,..

But that stick, that ugly stick
Sticking out, just ruined it all!
So, the picture I didn't shoot.

One month later,
I said to myself,
"I'll go back, break the stick,
And throw it out;
Then, take the picture.

So, to the same place
I returned...
The Buttercup and Pasque flowers
Were gone,
But the ugly stick, sticking out
Was no longer ugly. It had bloomed!

All around its frame, artistically arranged,
With purple dots decorated,
Wonderful white little flowers
Had grown.
It was a rarely seen Spotted Coralroot!

If you think your life is worthless,
Think twice and wait.
With full colors,
It will blossom at the right time...
Do not throw it in the fire.

"Fear not, oh land; be glad and rejoice, for Yahweh will do great things... I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm,
and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. You shall eat plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of
Yahweh your God, who did wonderful things with you; and my people shall never be ashamed... And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on
the name of Yahweh will be saved." (Joel 2:21-32)
